RaceChip, the renowned expert in electronic performance enhancement products have announced a working collaboration with Moda Machine’s racecar driver Syahrizal Jamaludin for the latter team’s 2019 racing campaign. The working collaboration would see RaceChip branding featured on Syahrizal’s team racecars and apparels aside from representing the RaceChip brand at major auto events.
Competing in the hugely popular 2019 Malaysia Speed Festival (MSF) Championship, Syahrizal competes in three categories being the Race Car 1600, Street Tuned and the Saga Cup Pro. Excited with this announcement, Syahrizal is looking forward to working with a brand that is well known amongst the car enthusiast worldwide. “I am honoured to be given this opportunity and looking forward to bringing the RaceChip brand to a wider audience here in Malaysia,” said the ex-works driver for team PETRONAS Motorsports.
“As a racecar driver, I’ve worked extensively with many engineers who are tirelessly engaged in bringing out not only the best performance, but also reliability to our race cars, and to this I see a similar path with the RaceChip products, which I’m massively intrigue,” added Syahrizal.
Syahrizal has had a long history with motorsport beginning his racing career with the PETRONAS Motorsport Team. He was selected amongst the many young hopeful of drivers to be in the team that was then about to embark on a global assault in motor racing in year 2000.
He received his formal training at a race-driving academy in New Zealand where he was not only taught race craft but also on public relation skills. His time with the PETRONAS Motorsport Team would see him compete in race series around the world like the Asia Touring Car Championship (ATCC), New Zealand Touring Car Series, Japanese Touring Car Race Series and the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) amongst others.
Highlights of Syahrizal’s career are the 2006 Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race (MMER) where he and his team won in Class C and in 2005 when he came close to taking the title of the Asian Touring Car Championship (ATCC) by finishing second overall in the championship.
Aside from this Syahrizal was also a development and test driver for PETRONAS Syntium Team’s BMW ES46 touring car in 2007 when their racing program was initiated. That same year he was also the test driver for Formula BMW PETRONAS Formula Experience.
Syahrizal still competes regularly in various Malaysia National race series like the Malaysia Speed Festival (MSF), Sepang 1000km race (S1K), and has been a driver for the PROTON R3 squad. Aside from his race driving duties, Syahrizal is also a professional driving instructor for car manufacturers such as Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Toyota and also with Ferrari and Lamborghini.
RaceChip products is represented here by RaceChip Chiptuning (M) Sdn Bhd and together with Syahrizal, will be embarking on a campaign to enhance knowledge of the brand. Promotional and brand awareness campaigns will be regular and ongoing on both RaceChip Malaysia social media networks and on Syahrizal’s team platform.
